How to get sponsored or get galleries for shows?
Dear All,
Hi I'm Badri, an artist and interior designer. I was away from the art field for the past 8 years, and started painting once again from last year. I would like to have my shows but the galleries I approached were not giving any answer or the promoters. So how can I have a show of my own, right now I'm participating in a group show by this dec 13th, but for further what are the steps I need to take.
Please help me out with your valuable suggestions.

I have an art gallery in Delhi , basically very few galleries will organize a solo show till they are sure about the viability , a well organized show is quiet expensive ,the best thing would be to participate in a a few group shows and then ask a gallery to do a solo for you.

Dear Sanghmitra, I am an artist from Kathmandu, preparing for my 4th solo show and have already participated in various group shows in Nepal, India, Jakarta and Korea. Do you organize group shows? Hi Badri,
Have you tried renting space? Here in Bangalore we have the Chitrakala Parishat and Alliance Francaise where I had my last exhibition.
You can also hire Windsor Manor Hotel.

The Waves gallery has been around for quite a while and does interesting work, Art2day is fast catching on with I think 4 to 5 galleries in town. Let me know if you would like me to put them in touch with you - I could give them your email, telephone details and you can take it from there.
