abstracts can help you widen your horizon for appreciating art. In an abstract, nothing is defined, it leaves enough room for the viewer to deduce the meaning or even gives the viewer the liberty to attach his own meaning to it. Thats what makes abstracts special

Recently acquired works of Rayana Giridhar Gowd made of earth pigments having rajasthani and mugal miniature styles with Thanjavur touch...do comment if anyone has heard oabout this artist....

I totally agree with Ritu.Perceived concepts of the future or churning of the past. Unzipping the underlying mystery of degenerating society or the unending "khoj "of utopia are some of the ingredients which Chhatrapati deftly redresses in his canvas.A modernist by nature and by act he is one of those young Turks who will go places in days to come.....Its a pleasure to have his creation in my collection too.

Wisdom says preserve your wealth and I do that by buying art. Picked up a Chatrapati Dutta. It's a portrait of a typical middle-aged Bengali man smoking but he has captured the act beautifully transporting you to their world!

This is a tribute to a legend who has created a niche in our heart by his simple yet sensitive strokes -a great loss for the art faternity,an end of an era...Paritosh da you and your creativity will remain eternally in our heart .Recently i have collected few paintings and drawings of this magnanimous person ,just sharing a one of them....
