Profile Information

About Me
I am from Delhi and did my masters in English Literature from Miranda House. I have been painting for the last 15 years and am more or less self taught. My husband is in the IFS so we spend alot of time abroad. We have lived in seven countries. I came back to Delhi from Moscow only eight months ago and have yet to settle down in a flat. I regret that most of my paintings are in their boxes and have yet to be taken out. We should be settled by the end of August. I can't wait. In the meantime I have been doing small works on my mother's dining table - no large canvasses to mess up the place.
I paint in watercolours and acrylics and really want to get going on the art scene in Delhi. I plan on a show when my artworks are accessible once again. When and where ? I have to figure that out.
In the meantime I love this forum.
I also post my works on www.wetcanvas.com and the Saatchi gallery.
I have a website www.gayatrimanchanda.com
I have a son and he lives and works in Canada.

Hello Gayatri!
Hope you are doing well ! and Greetings from The Fuschia Tree ! We are an Art Gallery based in Hong Kong and New Delhi . The Fuschia Tree has about 500 artists from 24 countries registered on its website.
We’ve established an honest platform for artists to show their works and are proud to announce the launch of our new art initiative called "The Fuschia Futures". This project aims to give an opportunity to emerging artists who have not showcased their works earlier and are in search of fantastic exposure. The Fuschia Futures is therefore an ideal place for young, emerging, revolutionary artists working across various mediums such as sculpture, painting, video, installation art, and photography. We therefore invite all artists out there to send us their work and our panel of curators shall select the best amongst the best to be a part of The Fuschia Futures.
