Title: Baul Of Bengal
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Size: 42X36 Inches
Year: 2009
I have always been captivated by the study of nature and the people around me. They inspire me to capture their essence on canvas. Whether I create a painting like a riverside, a villageside, a country-side or a cityscape, it is for me all images of nature and it’s create through the transparent watercolour medium. I tried to paint all artworks with equal dexterity and capture the inherent mood of the subject, playing with the vital elements of light and shade.
Also, I would like to paint figurative paintings depicting the tribal and rural culture of India using bright and vibrant watercolour and acrylic paints.
Born in 1979 in West Bengal, earned B.V.A. degree (Bachelor of Visual Arts) from the Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata in 2003. I have been participated in several group shows in India, Indoneshia, Thailand, and have had six solo shows in Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune.

Seen your works here as well as on indian art collectors and liked them a lot and in fact was also thinking in terms of acquiring one of them, where in ahmedabad did you have your solo show and when was it ???
Your watercolour works are very realistic and detailed. The tribal women work is rich in colour and vitality. Keep up the good work.
