Profile Information

About Me

I am a teacher in Art History in Banaras Hindu University for last 12 years. My area of specialisation is contemporary Indian art (the trends in last one decade and beyond). Besides teaching i also write for web sites and review exhibitions.

In coming december (09) i am proposing an international conference on Teaching Learning in Fine Arts: Pedagogic challenges.

I prefer to associate with artists in various mediums and their thoughts.

Renewed Intensity

BK College of Art and Crafts, is an art institution that is responsible to bring innovative curriculum into art education in Odisha. Along with art education it has considerably propagated art in the state and beyond. The college is celebrating its Silver Jubilee on the completion of 25 years of its inception in the state. To commemorate this event, a national workshop on Public art and Site Specific art was curated by Jagannath Panda, alumni of the college and illustrious artists of Odisha.
