Hey Ruchi What’s Contemporary Art anyway? Damien Hirst’s formaldehyde animals or Tracey Emin: dirty unmade bed? To me the answer is simple.
“It is an Art that has been and continues to be created during my lifetime". In other words, contemporary to us, here and now. So even if he was born a 100 years ago to me Chugtai‘s Art is … still relevant, alive and kicking!

A R Chughtai-(1897-1975) ....this artist is really contemporary on the time of his life but I am not sure what is his roll in this site of contempory Art and contemporary world...... oooops I forget this is the site of contemporary Indian Artist...

How did you know I simply adore Chughtai's art ??;-))))
Thank you for this lovely treat...Recently I saw a very old book of his paintings,and they were so gorgeous..could just behold them and die.
